Michael Halberstam
Chairman
Michael Halberstam is Chairman of the ISA family of companies, which includes Interviewing Service of America (ISA), SoapBoxSample, Q-insights and icanmakeitbetter. He was instrumental in the company’s founding in 1982, becoming Director of Operations seven months later. He assumed the role of President in 1993 and became Chairman in 2014. He oversees all of the day-to-day operations of the company.
After studying American History at Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey, Michael began his career in market research in 1978 working as a mall interviewer for Suburban Associates in Paramus, New Jersey. He went on to become Suburban’s facility manager later that year. In 1980, he moved to Los Angeles, CA to work for Lieberman Research Worldwide. Over the course of his career Michael has focused on data collection, sampling and the ethnic/multicultural aspects of the research industry.
Michael owns one of the largest collections of comic books in the country. He is also an avid New York Yankees, Los Angeles Lakers and New York Giants fan. He lives in Valencia, California with his wife and daughter where he enjoys playing softball all year. (Because it does not snow in Los Angeles!)
Multifamily real estate in some of the better U.S. markets continue to appreciate over time. Apartments owners in Dallas, Houston, Austin and other Texas markets have been on fire this cycle, outpacing apartment growth of numerous other apartments communities. Dallas and Fort Worth in particular have seen strong apartment rent growth as well as strong demand for apartments. Dallas, and Texas in particular are expected to continue to be on fire moving forward.
Like Dallas Texas as well as locations in New Jersey, Illinois, Virginia and California where Halberstam lives, real estate continues to be a wise investment strategy.
